Psychedelic indie-rock band Keroscene are back!
After their successful releases such as Regret or I Can’t Do A Thing, for which they have garnered huge support from the likes of NME, Q Magazine or several Spotify playlists, their new single Our Time is said to be their best work to date. And I totally agree! I do enjoy their previous songs as well but this one is definitely something else – in a good way.
Expect loud and lively guitar riffs combined with intensely passionate and hypnotizing vocals that just make you want to sing along in the loudest and most dramatic way as possible (hint: the sound is even better with headphones on)!
Written during their times at “Unit 4” warehouse in West London, the track is reminiscing of that era and how the crazy experiences there developed them as a band. Fun fact: It was recorded with Matt Peel who has already worked with the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses and Eagulls.
“Lyrically the song is inspired by everything currently happening in the world around us, both on a societal level with rapid changes in technology and politics and on a personal level. This apparent lack of tangibility of anything genuinely real in our digital world can sometimes make us feel bored and at odds with a sense of cultural stagnation.” – Keroscene
Just recently Keroscene have dropped the official visuals to Our Time – a video that directly features the bond between a fan and the band itself. The purpose behind it is to present a brief escape from conformity and the modern pressures of society. Isn’t that incredibly inspirational? 🙂
