When you were a kid you surely were aware of mood rings, the colourful rings which apparently change its colour depending on your mood, am I right? I remember I used to love them!
London-based rapper Casscade gives those gems a whole new meaning in his latest track – you guessed it – Mood Rings.
The track secured its world premiere on Annie Nightingale‘s show on BBC 1xtra, followed by deservedly receiving more spins on DJ Cable’s show – another 1xtra resident.
Just recently the artist, member of North Londoner collective TOORARETODIE (read more about it here), has unveiled the official music video to the release, and it’s proper genuine! Cleverly using mood rings as a metaphor for a hyped crowd and a representation of energy, Casscade invites UK dance collective The Gambino Family who brilliantly reflect the whole idea of it by dancing along to changing colour transitions.
The visuals are a great addition to the vivid and spirited trap-infused track in which Casscade shows off his dope, authentic rap flow. It represents a dynamic vibe and you might find yourself dance along. Convince yourself and watch below:
He’s also released a mixtape not too long ago – stream it below!
