Have you ever been in a long-distance relationship? If so, then the new track by Dream Estate, an emerging act consisting of William Tse and Dan Hvorostovsk, is made for you! And even if you haven’t: this infectious production – inspired by 80’s pop and the likes of Bon Iver or Aurora – will set you in a rousy mood.
Titled Half The World Away, their debut is such a touching yet wonderful ode to love which is being tested but still remains strong throughout all the struggle.
“‘Half The World Away’ is a chapter of a love story in which one’s lover is moving abroad. The song talks about the different emotions you go through when you are about be separated from someone close, learning to deal with the problems when they are away, and reconciling upon their return. It is told from the perspective of someone fearing the consequences of separation and the thought of reminiscing of intimacy with one’s lover when they are gone.” – William Tse, singer of Dream Estate
Combined with rhapsodic laid-back guitar and synth melodies it will literally have you daydream right away.
The newcomers from Leeds have been busy recording new material so stay tuned for more to be released soon!
