Everyone knows that Brighton turned into a buzzing hotspot for music and emerging talent over the past years. This being said, I’d like to introduce you to Brighton-based This Party!
The story of how they met is quite a coincidental story – it was at a Smith’s tribute gig when their paths crossed. Eventually they formed This Party and as you can see, they are now successfully creating high-quality indie-pop with support from BBC Introducing or Steve Lamaq on BBC 6! They even have their very own independent label: Moscow Let’s Go. Isn’t that fascinating?
Consisting of Hal Cleverdon (guitar), Marcus Gilham (bass), Tom Hodgson (drums) and Matt MacNeill (vocals), This Party have recently unleashed their brand new single Lover – the follow-up of their highly anticipated release Money.
Lover, with its stunning guitar riffs and rousing vocals, is without a doubt a vivid indie-pop hit that will assuredly get you in the mood for festival season. It very much gives credit to their band name as the catchy chorus and the upbeat sound invite to dance and sing along!
Listen and watch the music video below, and keep an eye out for their same-titled EP – out on May 15th!
